HOW TO SUPPORT THE LONGEVITY OF YOUR SHOES? ✅

You've probably done the first important step and purchased a new pair of shoes. Congratulations! But before jumping into them and going on an adventure there are few things to have in mind.💡

It's time to IMPREGNATE them. In general, it is advisable to impregnate every shoe. Many believe that only waterproof or water-repellent shoes are needed to be impregnated. The opposite is true. In case of non waterproof boots, the impregnation does not really prevent water in, but it protects them from dirt, dust and other negative influences. Repeat the impregnation as necessary.

Always wear shoes properly laced/fastened to avoid damage to the inner parts of the shoe such as the insole or heel of the shoe. Put on and take off the shoes only with properly unlaced/unfastened shoes, never take off the shoes in the "shoe over shoe" style. Use a SHOE HORN for dressing. Shoes must dry properly between uses, so alternate shoes and do not wear the same shoes every day and all day. Change your shoes often, especially in wet weather. Failure to follow these instructions can significantly shorten the life of the shoe. Ensure thorough but gentle drying.

DRYING SHOES:
After removing the insole, stuff wet shoes with newspaper and dry at room temperature. Do not dry your shoes in a dryer or on a hot heater, this significantly reduces the lifespan of your shoes. Use the shoes again only after they are thoroughly dried!

REGULAR CLEANING and PROPER STORING can extend their lifespan and will keep them looking great! Store your shoes in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Avoid storing them in plastic bags or airtight containers, as this can trap moisture and promote mold growth.

And a few more pieces of information that shouldn't come as a surprise:
Shoes may lose color when sweating or getting wet. Uneven pattern and different surface is characteristic for natural leather. Metal clips can stain. A natural property of white materials is yellowing. For models with sewn soles, the shoes are not suitable for wet environment. Leather and velour shoes do not have unlimited resistance to moisture even when impregnating agents are used. Always test cleaning chemicals (intended for cleaning shoes) in a hidden place to see if they will damage the color/surface of the shoes.

It's also necessary to ADJUST YOUR WALKING STYLE, where you place the feet softly and you do not step over the edge of the heel !

Now it's finally time to head out and explore! 🔍 🗺️
